Prerequisite: Canine Connections (or trainer's recommendation)
Class size: 2 to 6 dogs.

Canine Good Citizen

Canine Good Citizen is a certification program designed to reward dogs that have good manners at home and in their community. This program stresses responsible dog ownership and basic manners for dogs. It also serves as the first step toward therapy dog training.

, the trainer will review the 10 steps required to pass the test and obtain certification. The goal is to prepare owners and their dogs for the final CGC evaluation, conducted by a certified CGC evaluator as designated by the American Kennel Club. Prerequisite: Canine Connections (or trainer's recommendation)
Class size: 2 to 6 dogs.

Therapy Dog Training

This class will give you the additional training needed to prepare for the Delta Society Evaluation. After you have passed the CGC program, you are one step away from being ready to test as a Therapy Dog. The Bellyrub Klub is an official test site for Delta and hold tests regularly throughout the year. You can sign up for the Evaluation at the Klub when you feel you and your dog is ready. Though the CGC is NOT a prerequisite for taking the Delta Society Evaluation, it is highly recommended that you do both. The Delta Society program is very similar to CGC and having the CGC background is extemely helpful in preparing you and your dog for Therapy Dog work. We are also working with the Rainbow AAT program if you are interested in testing through them for your Therapy Dog work.

Regardless, join us for the CGC program followed by the Therapy Dog training to prepare to sit for the Evaluation from either the Delta Society or Rainbow.
